So let me get this clear in my head. You don't want to talk about Moyes yet you bump an old thread that is talking about Moyes...I think you are being a bit mischievous mate. Pretty funny though

Wow, you really are a fool. I will say no more, night mate X.

Would be prudent if a mod was to maybe round up all the wild Moyes threads that are floating around and stuck them out the way in World Football, like.

I for one do not buy into this hatred and damming of Moyes.

He has his limitations for sure, and he's behaved in a disappointing manner towards his former club and employees but for the vast majority of his tenure at Goodison we were happy to have him.

Personally I can't support someone for more than 10 years and then deride him overnight.

It wasnt overnight for me, it took a few months, I overlooked his foot in mouth over last Summer regarding our players and was over the moon when he gave us 27.5m for Felli, thats not a slight on the player, but 27.5m is a cracking price for a player that clearly wasnt going to really "fit" into the way we wanted to play.

His lack of transfer action in the Summer and January kind made my mind up, I excused him for years and blamed Kenwrong, it was always Bills fault that we didnt sign players and given the lack of action in Jan for us, I cant say I was wrong, but there he was, at the 2nd richest Club in World Football and he bought 1 player in each window, a player in a postion they dont even need, thats when I realised what a clueless moron he was and thats when I lost any respect I had for the man.

I dont hate him, but I have rejoiced at his "failure", sadly I feel last nights game will be a platform, a springboard, he will limp till the end of the Season and if hes got any sense he will buy a decent team for next Season, he can spot players, he spotted the likes of Hazard, Dzeko and of course the greatest player to ever walk the Earth, way before anybody else, that player was Joao Moutinho and he would have been GOD.

he pissed me off when he put that weak reserves team out in a merseyside derby. i understood his poor record in derbies because we constantly got screwed over by refs and liverpool were always the richer/higher team anyway. But in that single moment i realised that he wasn't everton and it started to dawn on me whether i wanted him at the club.

other things started to creep in and i started to notice he constantly made the same mistakes, you can forgive a young manager as long as they eventually learn from them, but he showed no signs of that and the record at the top 4 just kept getting worse and worse and the bottling became more frequent. i was happy when he went, didn't stop supporting him though, hatred only came about when he started disrespecting our club regularly.

Who are these "best players sold every season"?

Rooney 2004.

Arteta when he went.

Peinaar maybe.

All three wanted to leave when they did so it wasn't exactly like when Big Dunc was sold behind Walter's back.

Other than those three I am struggling to think of our "best player" being sold, either with or without Moyes's agreement.

Certainly not the likes of Saha.

And don't say Lescott because he wasn't even the best centre half we had at the time and the money was used to buy a better replacement at a fraction of the price.

The only person "re-writing history" is your good self.

Top post that, the "best players sold every season" stuff is way off the mark, Walter got the dirt done on him by Kenwright perhaps but not Moyes, those two were thick as thieves. But Moyes being Moyes even done the dirty on the one person at Everton he cared about, which says a lot out him. Moyes got a great ride from the board at Everton, its only the fans that dont.

Actually its not wide of the mark, its actual FACHT.

Everton Player
of the Season

Mikel Arteta
Joleon Lescott
Phil Jagielka
Steven Pienaar
Leighton Baines
John Heitinga

moment he lost me was sunderland away a few years back where we scored and then defended for our lives after 6 minutes!

Then after losing 2-1 he brings strikers on in the 82nd and 83rd minutes.

All down hill from that point im afraid.
