I for one do not buy into this hatred and damming of Moyes.
He has his limitations for sure, and he's behaved in a disappointing manner towards his former club and employees but for the vast majority of his tenure at Goodison we were happy to have him.
Personally I can't support someone for more than 10 years and then deride him overnight.
It wasnt overnight for me, it took a few months, I overlooked his foot in mouth over last Summer regarding our players and was over the moon when he gave us 27.5m for Felli, thats not a slight on the player, but 27.5m is a cracking price for a player that clearly wasnt going to really "fit" into the way we wanted to play.
His lack of transfer action in the Summer and January kind made my mind up, I excused him for years and blamed Kenwrong, it was always Bills fault that we didnt sign players and given the lack of action in Jan for us, I cant say I was wrong, but there he was, at the 2nd richest Club in World Football and he bought 1 player in each window, a player in a postion they dont even need, thats when I realised what a clueless moron he was and thats when I lost any respect I had for the man.
I dont hate him, but I have rejoiced at his "failure", sadly I feel last nights game will be a platform, a springboard, he will limp till the end of the Season and if hes got any sense he will buy a decent team for next Season, he can spot players, he spotted the likes of Hazard, Dzeko and of course the greatest player to ever walk the Earth, way before anybody else, that player was Joao Moutinho and he would have been GOD.
