The thing is, they could probably outsource this work, to a company like mine. Everton like to do that anyway, maybe I will get one of my Direct Sales team to pitch them, save them money !

Great idea, except they may want to keep the marketing data in house.

What's your skill set mate? I don't really do anything in NYC though.

I was half-joking mate, the missus finishes her MSW in a couple of weeks and at that point we'll either be looking at relocating or settling down here long-term. I'd guess that St. Louis is a bit more affordable than the NYC.

Skill set is currently help desk manager and supervisor (supervise 15 staff members and an army of 30 work-study students). I've been involved in network diagnostics and whatnot in the past though, but I haven't touched any cisco stuff for three years and could imagine it would take me time to get back into it.

I have a degree in Computer Science, and I have some ITIL qualifications and an ACSP, but nothing formal for troubleshooting like an MCP, MSCE, or A+ etc. Strengths would be in managing techs now rather than getting too deep into that stuff myself.

What's the job market like where you are? Are the salaries decent like?

You could live like a king here for what a one bedroom flat in Brooklyn costs. Nice place too. We've got everything except the ocean and the mountains. Both coasts are about 3 hours away by plane too. We've got loads of corporate HQ's here, it's a good market for IT. It's not the super sexy stuff in Slicon Valley, but plenty of IT jobs here. The market is tight right now for candidates.

If you're ever interested shoot me a PM. I mostly work on other stuff now in my current gig, but I know everyone in this city, and could put you on the right track in about 2 seconds.

Salaries are good here. The both of you working would make easily 100-150k a year combined, which would get you a very nice house in a very nice neighborhood.

Nice one lad. I'll keep you and your golden wang in mind and give you a shout when/if the time comes.

Cheers!
