Good news. He's been training with the first team since April. Got to prove his fitness at some stage. Hope he does well and is ready for the games later this month. It looks like he has been earmarked for the carling cup and europa games as his comeback games for the blues, hopefully these games for the boys in green will accelerate his match sharpness so that he's ready.

He is no more likely to get injured with Ireland than Everton It is vital match practice for him and whatever run he gets will be preagreed between club and country.

The Ireland games can be used to build his match fitness up. I think Gibbo has a chance to start against WBA after McCarthy/Barry horror performace against Chelski.

Gibson over Barry any day of the weeklk. He was our best player before he got injured.

I wasn't ever particularly enthused by the signing of barry but, Gibson needs to find a way to stay healthy for once. I believe he is better than barry at this point.

Gibsons confirmed starting for tomorrow nights friendly,McCarthy rested. Would imagine Gibson will be benched for Georgia game with McCarthy and Whelan starting.
