Wouldnt have been my first choice Gibson, but now that he is here and after seeing a lot of him over the years i would say he has the potential to be a be a good PL player - about the standard of Ossie IMHO maybe better. He has quality, he has a very decent range of passing, vision and an ability to play the killer ball, that would be good for us and is something we are missing. He can be dangerous from set peices and long range shots. He is no where near fulfilling his potential, he needs games to be honest, he also needs to learn to make the right choices at the critical points in games, he has rough edges to his game and is still very much still learning his craft.

I would imagine his match sharpness and consistencey isnt what it should be given his actuall game time - he is very much a work in progress - he has the potential to improve us - providing he develops his game - it looks like he will have to learn on his feet, i would think we are 6 months to a season of knowing exactly what kind of player and the potential impact he can make and how important he can be. 1 million rising to 2 is very much worth the punt on what ive seen of the lad, but he will need time.

Its hard to know how much he will develop with game time - that is key - he has talent - he has an X factor about him not in the Mikel explosive mould - he will never go past players, more in a Scholes mould - the challenge for him is to fulfill that potential and develop consistencey to become a key player - very much a work in progress.

he nose where to position himself, he septum some good opportunities, seems to be able to smell out a good pass. Just hope his sneeze dont give out

At times against Villa it looked like we had an actual midfield...it was a beautiful thing to behold. I got quite emotional at one point and softly caressed and held my pasty, I named him Angelo.

You then dropped your pasty and screamed ANGELOOOO in a castaway 'wilson' style?

It'll take him a couple of games to settle in but definitely seems to have an uninspired, dour, square pass loving streak in him already which is nice to see.

He didn't offer anything today and his long balls/crosses were poor. Still hoping he finds his form here, at the moment it is like having two Neville's on the pitch and he's not the creative player we need to dictate from the centre.

I thought he did ok to be honest. Much better still than playing Neville or Heitinga in his place.

To be fair I think he needs time to adjust to the team as well.

My gut reaction would be to agree but today I don't think he was. I think Neville or Heitinga could do what he did today and either of them alongside Fellaini at least allows the big man to get forward more.

I hope he grows into Everton but if we make any more moves in the transfer window I'm still edging toward a creative playmaker to fill the vast void left by Arteta.
