My gut reaction would be to agree but today I don't think he was. I think Neville or Heitinga could do what he did today and either of them alongside Fellaini at least allows the big man to get forward more.

I hope he grows into Everton but if we make any more moves in the transfer window I'm still edging toward a creative playmaker to fill the vast void left by Arteta.

Heitinga has played well when he's been put in midfield this season. So I agree with that, he wouldve just been as effective today.

That's why when you see Drenthe rip it up at 90mph it looks alien to us and we get all excited...

Then you look elsewhere and most of that is the norm.

Darren Gibson was the last type of player we needed and we only have buttons, I'll never change my view, pointless signing,he done ok today again and he gives you slightly more than Rodwell which isn't a lot but we are screaming for flare and craft which he has neither, breaks my heart watching little Marc Davis playing for Bolton, they signed him for peanuts , he's exactly what we need but will now cost ya 10m î￾˜î￾¡
