Stop talking such utter horse ****

Been out for 10+ weeks (was it longer than that?), plays a few games, gets injured, plays a couple more games, injured again for a month. Also had an injury last season too, and was injury prone at united too. I fail to see how my post was horse ****, he's an injury prone player and has been for his career thus far.

So we are writing off his career as a starter forever?

as a consistent starter of team, it doesn't look promising so far.

So you're looking to write him off completely based on two thigh strains, disregarding the rest of his entire career which has had no hint of systemic injury?

That's not very smart tbh.

I think you're exaggerating "slightly" because you're secretly gutted he's out because he's such an important player.

Also, injury prone at United? Erm, nope.

Look I'm not saying he'll never play again, I'm just saying it looks like (based on what we've seen of him so far) he's the type of player who is out a lot with injuries, therefore we can't rely on him to be there as our best CM every week. On reflection, maybe saying write him off completely wasn't the most sensible of comments, but I think it's certainly a possibility he could turn out to be a michael owen et al.

And I thought he did struggle a bit with injuries with United? Perhaps not then.

Just been reading about Darron; he has only played about 100 games in his career, which is partly down to injuries.

I like him, and he is a good player, but with Fellaini probably on his way in the near future ( summer 2013?) should we be looking at cover/ replacement for Gibson? Considering we only paid buttons for him.

Just a thought.

He played for United reserves quite regular.

I make it 180 senior appearances. Not prolific by any means and it includes a fair few sub appearances, but also some quality experience - CL QF+SF, FAC SFs, LC Fs, Ints. More than Hibbert had at the same age though for comparison (around 140).

A lot of that because he didn't regularly break into Man Uniteds first XI.

He's played a lot for us, which may have contributed injury wise - long term I'm not worried as he adapts to playing every match.

The club should be looking for cover for him regardless of Fellaini or Gibson's injuries.

Wiki says 102

103 League appearances, 16 Cup, 13 League Cup, 9 Champions League and 19 Internationals. Which makes 160 instead of 180. The table on wiki is wrong...

We got there in the end. 160 senior appearances then.
