I feel sorry for anyone with a drink problem, I’ve had my problems with it in fact it’s had me near rock bottom . But that can’t excuse him getting behind the wheel twice , in fact he’s only been caught twice the chances are this has happened numerous times .

Quite.

I don't really care that Darron was drink driving. But thats just a personal opinion. It doesn't really bother me what Darron does. I don't really see the point of us all talking about what a wicked man he is. Does that really do anything. I'm not sure hes bothered is he. He's clearly got enough problems without us all sitting here talking about it. Just forget it. Relax. I didn't drink drive did I.

Think they may need a court verdict first, then I'm sure they bin him off immediately.
I know it’s legally restricting for Sunderland; but seeing the evidence and inevitable charge(s) coming. Bin him.

I mentioned on here a fair few years ago, while he still played for Everton, that I felt he liked a drink far more than a current professional should.

His social media was awash with pictures of him out with wife or friends having a meal etc. and on most occasions he had a drink in front of him.

Now there's nothing wrong with someone enjoying a drink, that's not my issue, but I believe that what we portray is a fraction of our real lives.

If he was so content at regularly showing himself with a pint in his hand, then I expected that he was probably on the ale quite a bit.
Why are you bothered if he's got a drinking problem or not? It's none of your buisness is it Phil? Or is it?

The fact their managers playing career ended when he smashed his motor in rather dubious circumstances may be hindering such swift action ?

When he was playing for Everton, I expected him to be as much as a consummate professional as possible when considering his wages etc.

The fact that such a talented player was regularly injured, yet happy to go out and get lashed and show it to the world, was quite alarming.

you would care if a family member was killed or injured by a drink driver mate .

Sunderland have done as much as they can for now by suspending him with immediate effect,if he is found guilty I'm sure they will sack him and save themselves a lot of cash.
