Why are people defending him saying he has a drink problem? Of course he does, it's hardly a secret. But it doesn't mitigate his obsession with drink driving. It's selfish and shameful and it's nothing more than pot luck that no one has been killed or seriously injured.

I don’t want to shock people, but rich people have mental problems and addictions too, equally people without money manage to have mental problems, addictions and don’t consistently crash cars.
Sounds like he was late for the match either due to going boozing or being on the lash the night before (with booze still in his system).
What was thst drunken rant he was filmed giving about certain players not giving a damn about the club?
Feel sorry for the Sunderland fans, they've been let down by the club leadership at all levels where they've just brought has beens, wrong uns, and carts. And look where it's landed them.

Makes me so furious that absolute scum like this continues to make millions from being a 'footballer' when all he does is sit on the operating table and recklessly jump into his car while drunk. Get him in jail.

Not like he's some fella living on his own in a council flat is it, who maybe needs the help but doesn't have the support system in place.
A pro footballer at a massive club, with medical staff, social staff, staff for every problem you could ever imagine.
Maybe he's just a massive bell end.
Regardless of addiction he has shown at least twice that he is a danger to the public and presents a very real threat to life. Needs incarcerating or at least some form of compulsory treatment.
