Darron Gibson... Drink Driving Again

He clearly needs help for his drinking

He seems to be managing all right mate, never spills a drop by all accounts.

...for a person with his wealth to put members of the public at risk by driving whilst under the influence is nothing short of a disgrace. I have no sympathy for him, especially following the last incident where he left the scene of an accident.

He might have a drink problem but he should have the decency to go by cab or employ a driver.

His wealth isn't important here. No-one, whether they're wealthy or skint, is forced to drive while rat arsed. Yes, his wealth means he can afford to get someone else to drive him, but the person who's skint can equally decide not to get behind the wheel.

My cousin's husband had a similar problem in the 1970s.

He got several years' jail time when he was caught drink-driving for a second time after crashing into a wall. Nobody was hurt but they could have been.

Thankfully jail was the wake up call he needed and he sought psychological help for his addiction.

He's been sober now for almost 40 years.

It’s been known that he’s had a bit of an issue with ale since his Utd days . He’s crashed once before drunk the only option now is jail . He’s a scum bag . He’s had help he doesn’t take it on board . F him let him have a lie down and keep people safe for a few years while he hopefully sorts his head out .

The damage he done to the cars, and the time of day I find odd. Serious damage to at least 3/4 motors.
He's either been right on an all nighter and on way home or proper lashed next morning ?

He will get jail, I've no doubt, and that will be his career done as he will be sacked by Sunderland, as they will want his wages gone anyway.

Definite three year ban. A custodial, which I'd hope he gets, all depends on the aggregating features, which a good barrister will argue against.

If it were me and you however, then yes he'd almost certainly be facing some form of custody or at least a suspended sentence at least.
