I wonder what the deal for Welbeck could cost if we include agents fees, signing on fees and wages ?
I expect he was on a large salary at Arsenal and would be expecting something similar at Everton. As I understand it pay as you play is not allowed so unless we could agree a lower wage with bonus based on performances it has the potential to be a very costly deal.

It just seems to be the very opposite of what I thought our transfer activity would be... so I am sceptical of this whole story.

I agree thats what I suggested above, he has to be reasonable and get a bonus for appearances. like £70k per week and then £500k bonus if he plays 20 games something liekt hat.

I think we have changed, we never hear any real itk stuff anymore so that says we're keeping things more in-house.
