Thing is, he wouldnt be free. He's still got a year on his deal left. I dont think he's that bad and still at an age to improve. He's had another good season with Newcastle and for small change i'd have him but me personally, i wouldnt give him more than what Newcastle are currently offering him!.

I think we still have enough candidates to fill the right back slot. They may not be great, but the wages on Simpson would probably be best spent elsewhere.
