Danny Murphy - Brainless?

Half the names on there wouldn’t even say Everton were their main club. The RS list was pure dye in the wool kopites.

Like it or not all of them plied their trade at Goodison at some point main club or not.

And as boyhood Blues, Owen and Carragher are hardly lifelong dyed in the wool kopites.

Lineker - Leicester
Osman - everton
kilbane - everton
Keown - Arsenal
Hinchcliffe - City/Everton
Cottee - West Ham
Reid - Everton
Neville - Utd
Nevin - Chelsea
Gray - Everton
Only my opinion, although all have played for us, some have stronger attachments to other clubs they played for. All of these however don’t show the bias that the ex kopites do in their analysis. (As mourinho pointed out) I wish they did!!!

I think I heard Danny Murphy say on Friday night that the main thing was, that Liverpool won!
It's not just the pundits that are biased: Howard Webb & his linesmen were thrown out of a pub at 3 in the morning singing YNWA,
when the World Cup was in S. Africa. Graham Poll was introduced as an after dinner speaker as, Liver-poll. I don't know how
Clive Thomas is introduced, and Gobshite Bobby must be Truely, Madly Deeply.

Whether we agree with Niasse's two game ban for simulation or not the least I would expect is some kind of consistency/intelligence from the 'expert pundits'. However, DM felt that the ban was appropriate as Niasse 'exaggerated the contact to earn a penalty'. However, on last night's MOTD he felt that the challenge on Deli Ali merited a penalty because 'there was contact, even if he (Ali) made the most of it'. I don't even think that it's a Tottenham bias, I just think that he's genuinely stupid. The problem is that the powers that be seem to be influenced by his opinion (and that of Shearer and co).
Sorry to bang on about an old subject but the hypocrisy and double standards really p****s me off!
Sorry. Thought this was the Ross Barkley thread !

He should never have left that show where Gervais laughed at all the inane rubbish that comes out of his mouth, before sending him around the World with a midget.

Still doesn't alter the fact he isn't a lifelong dyed in the wool red. And can never be.

I don't even think half of the reds on the previous list are so biased as others on here and certainly wouldnt go overboard about it. I especially rate Carragher as a pundit for what he brings in insight and high quality analysis, a really top addition to the sky team, but its very difficult to ignore such discrepancies between the two lists of ex-reds and blues, from a merely factual viewpoint at least.

Most on the former list are by far primarily associated with the reds whereas a large percentage of the ex blues are primarily associated with other clubs and not Everton.

Gary Lineker is far more associated with Leicester City, he also happened to play a season with Everton and played with Barca, Spurs and in Japan, but he is far more associated with Leicester City, and this so much more so than he is remembered for once playing a year with us, in fact a very large percentage of the general football following public would be largely ignorant of any association with Everton.

seen people calling him to be sacked over the benefits comment

makes us look a bit mental that, it was an ill judged comment and i think an apology for perpetuating negative sterotypes would be enough
