Daily Star trying to stir up hatred - 'Everton Fans: We Will Break Wayne Rooney'

It is a disgraceful article.

The worst bit being the headline. It refers to 'Everton Fans' as if we were one collective group, but the story is actually based on just two comments posted on the internet.

It wouldn't surprise me if they had made the comments up as well.

Actually, would it be possible to tweetitterypoo this to that PR guy who works for the club?

I saw him own off some TalkSport presenter once for bad journalism. Perhaps there's something that actually can be done here?

this is fuc**ng ridiculous. i am actually going to send an email of complaint in tomorrow and i think others should do the same

actually yeah, i might fume away as well.i can only imagine a kopite would be sad enough to write this. half of those comments are probably written by 10 year olds who think it's cool. there will be no trouble at the game, the boos have eased off year after year, why would we all of a sudden re-ignite it. nah, not letting someone bad mouth our club like that actually.

Have you ever seen a more boring set of opening day fixtures ?

We are the BIG game this weekend and that does not happen until Monday.. They need to get some interest going after the Olympics.. still havent got athletes off the back pages..

Easy story, load of crap.. No-one is interested until they see Rooney and RVP play together... Sad but true !
