Understand that questions will be asked, but it was essentially Froome v Dumoulin for 80k. Froome had 41” at top of Finestre, then by the time he climbed Sestrière he had 1:58, it was ridiculous not just waiting for Reichenbach, but letting him lead the descent. As Dumoulin said, Reichenbach descends “like an old lady.”

Hard to imagine anyone attacking much tomorrow. They must all be wiped out. Snide behaviour from the three in TD's chase group. Had they worked he'd probably still be in pink. As it was it was more like a time trial, man against man.

At that stage Pozzo was still ahead of them though, so I'd have thought they would have worked to distance him. It was pure chance on their part that this happened anyway. I thought the FDJ guys were weak as well, but then Pinot has been weak the whole race.

The gaps yesterday were unreal, 8 minutes to 7th place.
