Was the last time that I saw a similar exploit. It would be very strange if he would still gain time on the Jafferau, even more so because Dumoulin has conserved more energy. He's been at it for 60 K and still has +- 20 K to go (so 80 K). Dumoulin shouldn't have waited on Reichenbach but even so. I don't even think he's giving his all, Froome.

The sad thing about this is that it isn't weird at all, it is as you say a performance with a lot of precedent and it demands serious questions being asked.

I think TD has been fried mentally by the other four in his group. They've been there but not helping at all. A real mental anchor on him. Fully expect one of them (Lopez perhaps) to drop him on the final climb.
