Lol at the sad acts attacking cycling for doping while religiously following football, a sport ran by someone like Sepp Blatter, now ran by his fellow gutter rat Infantino, a sport that has had systematic sexual abuse of children, corruption of referees, corruption of managers, players throwing matches, racism from players and managers and fans, organised hooliganism locally and internationally, and clubs adhering to what has been described as financial doping. But, of course, footballers would never dope would they?!!?! That would be cheating!

A sport that has pundits describe diving and cheating for a penalty as being "too cute, too clever" for the opposition, a sport that calls someone who has served a doping ban, a genius (Guardiola), or a legend (Stam, De Boer, Davids), a sport that does minimal blood testing and minimal urine testing, and of course, a sport that continues to give top notch patronising know nothing beauts like Danny Murphy a career in being a complete cretin.

But no, cycling is the big baddy because Lance Armstrong and doping and they're all cheating and Usain Bolt is the cleanest athlete because he is charismatic and football is the purest sport, and cycling fans are silly. (Insert Roll eyes smiley)

What race? As an aside traveling through nz the last couple of months is the first time I've attempted any 'proper' cycling, climbs, descents etc, really took to it, and even on my crappy aluminium bike I'll probably keep, great sport for mind and body, you may have to pm me your dealer

Of course, I got my bike from Wiggle. She's a bit like Trigger's broom now, but has been all around Europe with me since I got her in 2009.

Paris Nice starts today. Richie Porte usually rides well, and it will be the first time the stage racers come out in force, before Tirreno starts next week.

Porte v Contador, but I think Zakarin and Henao are good dark horses.

Porte seems the better tester these days, and I'm not sure it's hilly enough for Contador to make mischief. Should be a nice prelude to Milan San Remo though, which I'm very keen to see if Sagan wants to have a go or whether he's focusing on the cobbled races in April.

Bertie will always make mischief at some point in a race..... thats why he's the greatest stage racer of the past 25 years.

Is the Alien riding Paris Nice or is he waiting for the hay fever season to kick off?

I think the last 3 days are lumpy enough for Bertie, but Porte has been in good form lately.

Yer MSR is always interesting, I actually fancy Gaviria.

It'll be weird having no Cancellara this season. My favourite rider since Pantani. Sagan is showing signs of having some of that panache though. He's been very impressive over the last 12 months.
