I'd like to see it back open.

I do think th trouble was caused by the minority (isn't this always the case?) and the majority of the threads were informative and interesting to read.
The Ukraine, Cost Of Living & Environmental threads in particular were real hubs of info and interesting debate.

Not sure what the solution is in regards to those who cause trouble in there is though. Having a time limit or access by request might deter a few, but I mentioned elsewhere that some of the more egregious posters towards the end had been members on here for years.

grifter and replacement theory advocate russel brand has just done a sycophantic interview with the repugnant ron desantis, if i don't have a forum to talk about this i'll be given no choice but to shoehorn it into the wooden floors thread.
I feel the same way about that Christo-loony Jim Caviezel's latest film 'The Sound Of Freedom' and all the batsh*t QAnonery it's based off

I am the mirror buddy, all I do is reflect.

What Qanon stuff is the film based on?
The entire premise is a QAnon tin-foil-hat fest.
That Tim Ballard ( lol ) went full Solid Snake and started infiltrating international child trafficking encampments to save the millions of children trafficked for the 'elites' devil worshiping antics? Puh-lease! lol

Anyway - I'll save the rest for when/if the CA opens, don't want to end up getting this thread closed haha

Imagine the Gunfight with me & @Bruce Wayne lol

I tend to stay off the thread as it's the same protagonist - football & politics dont mix - end of - the mods have enough to do than scour the infighting on that thread - When I stood on the terraces we stood as one Everton FC politics as never mentioned .....we probably idolised players of ours with different political persuasions we adored our team we made it known if they played poor etc - end of IMO

does politics get discussed in the grounds today ?

When I went - football, hooliganism was rife too - never about politics though ...... thankfully out of the game now - CA should be on Twitter imo .....

We had this a little bit in the film thread. Not really interested in seeing the movie, tho' it's doing very well. There's deffo value in raising awareness of child-trafficking. It's a real problem. Probably since for ever.

The issue I found is that this Ballard fella seems to be in it for the glory more than anything else, not sure how much is directly Qanon-related (which is a recent thing more about fetishising perceived global conspiracies).

There's an interesting Slate piece linked here from someone who partook in one of the raids, she's now very critical of it:

That coutts bank for the super wealthy, the ones that've fecked farage off, turns out pinochet was a customer and they had no issue with his patronage.

I wonder who fred goodwin banks with...
