What if the scientists are right (which is highly likely) but we listen to wombles like you and continue to speed, headfirst into the abyss? I mean,it is quite a risk to take if we are honest. Unless you actually believe that it is fine to continue releasing carbon at the rate we do and continue burning fossil fuels that is. Do you think it is OK to continue as there is no scientific proof that they are causing issues? Shall we continue deorestation of the worlds rainforests also?
Who cares about the melting polar ice caps also, right?
trees lock up carbon as far as i know and much more could/should be planted.

i don`t see much push-back/media frenzy against the murder of activists in the rainforests trying to stop logging which seems strange compared to the hype Greta Thunberg received. why would this be so? your thoughts?

the ice-caps are fine, always have been.

the 13,26,52 thousand year cycles come and go. we`re the nearest to the Sun we will ever be on these trajectories and are heading away into a proper ice-age in approx 13 thousand yrs.

there were reports recently of heaviest snow or ice build-up in Antarctica - i wouldn`t expect the media to report on this though.

"Global warming" is actually global cooling.

btw. i like the "Wombles" analogy - thanks. they cared about their environment, cleared rubbish etc. good choice of a Freudian slip ?

cool, lets continue as we are then as it is not our doing at all. Lets continue with the carbon release etc.

Well you can't argue with that. Well presented, well evidenced. Not at all a throw away comment in a random collection of thoughts.

There is not enough space on earth to plant enough trees to absorb carbon emissions at the rate humanity is pumping them out.

Wombles are indeed cool,

Please don't repost his clueless ramblings, and defo don't put them in bold.

Wombles are indeed cool,
planting trees - greening the deforested areas is important for habitat replacement- please think through any semi-snarky replies before posting.
the destruction of habitats is the problem along with soil erosion etc. there`s no real down-side to planting trees.

you say there is a media frenzy about the murders of forestry activists in S. America - good i`d be glad to get proved wrong but from my experience the coverage was/is minimal, those murders are happening all the time yet we see very little coverage here on what you claim affects us on a global scale.

ice-caps/glaciers come and go as do ice-ages. get used to it. i think there are 2 or 3 new glaciers growing on Mount St Helens in Washington state

look up Earths orbit and stuff about the cycles/tilt etc. its interesting.

you`ve got more chance of worrying yourself to death than you have of dying by "Global Heatings Up"

Wombles aren`t cool.

ice is cool and there`s plenty of it

I wouldn't bother.

You try and have a sensible conversation with him and he posts waffle. Then he'll moan that he's not getting sensible debate, then he'll insult you, you'll ask him to evidence his assertion and he'll say "don't be lazy" or "I can't be expected to do it for you", then people will rightly call him out on it and then he'll play the victim.

It's a pretty consistent cycle.
i agree with the bit in bold.

the Earths tilt towards the Sun coupled with the out-of-wack orbit means 13,26,52,104... thousand year cycles are indeed consistent.

we reached the point of being the nearest Earth will get to the Sun. that happened in approx. 2020.

we`re now starting to tilt and move further from the Sun.

this cycle will result in Earth being the furthest away from the Sun in approx 13,000 yrs meaning an ice-age will peak in the year of our Lord 15020 at about half past two the following Tuesday

So, you think the emission of Co2 is OK? We should carry on?

Also, the bit in bold is wonderful

So, you are happy that all the scientists are wrong and you are donald trump are right (even Jeremy Clarkson has admitted he was wrong).

As I asked earlier, what if they are right and we are plummeting towards the point of no return? because people like you "know better"?

A tad selfish really

You're at the posting waffle stage...keep turning that hamster wheel turning.

Get on the phone to the climate scientists mate! They’re wasting their time when they should be doing other stuff. Mind blown here
