What is happening in Britain is happening throughout much of Europe. It's therefore not primarily the fault of the Tories or Brexit. It is a structural decline caused by generations of politicians Europe wide. You can fight it all you wish but Europe is about to enter a chaotic political phase. No arguing with me on here will prevent it.
We will see unrest from the echo chambers of hate filled scumbags who frequent X for the majority of their pitiful lives.

Normal people are still the majority.

Normal people who will suffer as public services rapidly decline, taxes go up and European states run out of cheap money. The ingredients are all there for a sh*tshow in coming years. Unless AI somehow works an economic miracle in coming years nothing can change the course I am predicting. Some countries may have it worse than others but Western Europe is headed for trouble.

I'm taking that as a yes re: voting Tate.

It is this digital age, or fourth industrial revolution that is causing the shifts. It was always going to reshape society because it opened the door to diverse groups to connect, information to be shared instantly, and mass communication to be open to all. It is already transforming multiple MACRO factors including the things we are seeing in the UK now.

You might, or probably should say that our political and judicial systems are outdated. Whatever the thniking they are certainly under the spotlight now. Same for the US and their political system that, like ours allows business and money/lobbies to keep power in a few hands, even that of a felon and sexual predator!

A colleague (Treky research fellow) once mused that societal change and challenging traditional power structures through technology could see us head toward a utopian Star Trek society or a totalitarian, militaristic autocracy as portrayed by the Empire in Star Wars. The challenges of misinformation pushed by the likes of Trump, Musk, Putin et al, and resistance from the “powers that be” may not just slow any radical transformation toward utopia but could push us toward an evil empire.

The next few years will be a bumpy ride but it may well be that the US needed a Trump like figure to give the people the volley up the ar$e, toward positive change. Putin, with his puppets like Musk are asking questions of Europe and the UK and I think it will eventually backfire on them here also.

I think that this transformative shift is unstoppable outside of a global catastrophe but it is the result of technological innovation.

Well that Star Trek utopia only appeared on Earth after World War 3 (which starts in 2026 via the 2nd US Civil War, folks) and a whole lot of other suffering. Not entirely sure when that trial Q mocked up was supposed to represent either.

Remember the Eugenics Wars in the 90s? Good times.

I realise I probably shouldn't feed the troll, but how will populists fix the economy? I mean US debt rose by around $8 trillion under Trump's presidency.

Firstly, a convenient way to memory hole COVID and it's economic effects. Secondly, I make no prediction on populists fixing the economy. They may or may not fix it. I simply said political chaos is headed the UK and Europe's way. Establishment parties are likely to suffer at the polls, either a little or a lot. I suspect they'll suffer a lot.

You would have been better speaking to him than me, cleary but his position was regarding this sought of thing.

Just looking online re your points, I didn't know we need to go through WW3 (though it feels worryingly close) and that it lasts from 2026 to 2053 with 30% of the human population lost is a bit rubbish. I hope the Trump and Musk fans are happy!
