Opinion leaders on opposite sides of the fence, spectrum or what set Jonesy's Army off, the coin. It is pretty basic stuff. You’re having a nightmare here.
Jones the same as Hopkins, outrageous shout.

I dont understand.
I dont understand how people can support Trump
I dont understand how people can support Israel
I dont understand how people can support Putin
I dont understand how people can support The Tories
I dont understand how people can support Brexit
I just really do not understand.
I didnt even touch on the anti-vaxers, the climate deniers or the anti-woke morons.
How did we fall so far in a world with highly accessible education, information, never in the history of the world have we had access to so much information at our actual fingertips and yet people refuse to educate themselves on subjects.
So yeah, im pretty angry, soz abar dat.
I posted saying that Jones is consistently wrong, you misunderstood and have then flounced around like a plum duff.
Apology acceptedI made an error of stating that you said he is always wrong and asked " Is he though? "
When corrected you still never answered and went off on a tangent regarding Hopkins. I'm not concerned about her at all.
You made a reference about Momentum and I asked about that by saying my wife and I have friends in it and they wouldn't appreciate being classed as Hitlers personal security.
Still not answered any of my questions. Not really bothered with any of your answers as I've made my decision regarding you.
Apology accepted
You might be too fixated on WWE Smackdown or the like to understand that these hold two irreconcilable and opposite world views. I would have imagined that this would be evidently clear.
These two have deliberately placed themselves at the heart of this culture war.
Both use their platforms to feed and stoke issues surrounding cancel culture and wokeism, trans rights and gender identity, immigrants – Brexit and the boats et al.
Both use their platforms to amplifying culture war themes and are always ready to jump in on any of these culture war disputes. I find no pleasure in saying that they are Opinon Leaders for their repective ends of the spectrum. And they are most definitely at opposite ends of the activist spectrum or, as I say, alternate sides of the coin.
As for your comment as to why is Owen Jones differnt to Vorderman do you think Vorderman would sabotage Labour/Starmer? I shouldn't need to say more than that but if this is someThing else that you don't understand maybe we can help you there too.
You seem to have a very limited/descriptive view but hopefully your are not too entrenched and can follow curiosity.
I fully understand what you are saying I just disagree with it.
Jones and hopkins are in no way comparable.
Hopkins is the culture war. Without it she has no career and would disappear.
Jones was a journalist long before the culture war really gathered pace. Without it, he would still be a reputable journalist and author working at the highest level of the industry.
Journalists and authors writing about social justice has always been a thing.
What hasn’t always been a thing is people with no qualifications, building careers on their extreme opinions, and crowdfunding through social media.
This is something people on the right and the left are guilty of and these are the people to avoid.
You can’t seem to separate the journalist and author Owen Jones from the social media character you’ve been told to hate.
Your comparison is ridiculous and you’re lashing out at posters calling it out.
I’am genuinely interested to hear where he has been consistently wrong if you’re willing to cite examples of this?
TBF I am not sure Jones would ever have been a reputable journalist, at least in terms of the classical journalism that so many of them pretend they are doing - doing the hard yards of investigating, developing and breaking stories that may not be of interest to anyone in power (or sell papers) but which are massive injustices is not something he has ever done.
An author or commentator certainly, but not a journalist.
I don’t even know if this exists anymore. The demand for new news every 24 hours must mean that no journalist really has time to put in the hours.TBF I am not sure Jones would ever have been a reputable journalist, at least in terms of the classical journalism that so many of them pretend they are doing - doing the hard yards of investigating, developing and breaking stories that may not be of interest to anyone in power (or sell papers) but which are massive injustices is not something he has ever done.

The 24 hour news cycle has definitely diminished the quality of journalism as they simply don’t have the time when it comes to breaking stories to investigate and fact check before they throw something out there. There is still a lot of good journalism about though but people seem so wedded to their opinions now that they don’t really want to take it in.I don’t even know if this exists anymore. Even if they did, most big stories don’t get as much traction as they used to. Are media outlets even interested in big stories now? When I click on ‘most read’ news stories on the BBC the most clicks are given to stories such as a duck adopting a puppy or a celebrity dying.
I see loads of stories in media outlets saying stuff like ‘Twitter went in meltdown’ and choosing some select tweets as though that actually means anything at all. Most articles I read could be put together by a GCSE student. Do places even employ many journalists? Seems like a total waste of money when they could get AI to do most of it.The 24 hour news cycle has definitely diminished the quality of journalism as they simply don’t have the time when it comes to breaking stories to investigate and fact check before they throw something out there. I noticed it in the 777 thread with some posters (can’t remember who) having a go at Josimar for their reporting. They have been on that case for ages and also do some amazing investigative journalism into dodgy gambling companies sponsoring PL teams. I’ve listened to Philippe Auclair for years on podcasts and he really knows what he is talking about. But because they are badmouthing someone that might be taking over Everton we should be suspicious. It’s just a weird outlook.
And it has resulted in people jumping to conclusions before there are really any facts. People have always been inquisitive when an interesting news story breaks but unlike before social media and 24 hour news, opinions get thrown about when there are basically no facts available to back up those opinions.
