Some great comments:

"LMAO I've been watching the progression of anti-LGBT reactionaries since the 90s, almost three decades now, and I can say with an 85% certainty you are gonna wind up divorced with your kids taken away in five years. I've seen dozens of you make this speech, with the same result."

The trans movement? Greater than China, the national debt, broken families, etc..?

One rule of contemporary American news cycles is every faction eventually gets a mass shooter who seems to suit its propagandistic purposes to the t.

What do you think is the one thing that is different in the US from other countries that don't have anywhere near the amount of mass shootings as we do?"

Etc

It is reassuring to see that the vast majority of replies are calling him out as a tit

Read this a couple of times and I’ve got no idea what she’s actually saying.
Comments section is out of control

Ah, yeah, the comments section is truly mind boggling.

There's an article from last week reporting on a Leverhulme grant awarded to academics looking at racism in the countryside. The comments were out of this world hysteria, stupidity, poison and confusion.

A Broadsheet too 😆

complaining about the ‘mainstream media’ in the Telegraph comments section is beyond parody.

I’m always second guessing myself these days and think I’m on the end of some elaborate wind up.

The Telegraph has gone absolutely mental recently. Sad to see a once-respectable broadsheet in this state. Bit like Everton really in some ways <sadface>
Yeah, it is a huge shame. They print some genuinely interesting in depth analysis pieces still, really good stuff looking at the Ukraine war, energy markets and supply, housing policy failure etc.

But there's so much given over to some properly whacko stuff and weird hobby horses. The culture wars stuff is properly cringe.
