There's something in this, its becoming more apparent that a lot of people feel lost, and are snared by easy answers and hate that lines up with their respective certain views. Its for another thread. I'll add, 'blame culture' to that equation. Grim.

Defo. The mediums of podcasts, YouTube and live streaming are pretty unique, and do give the listener/viewer a real sense of community. In my case it’s channels about movies and guitars, and you do genuinely feel part of a community with similar interests and all that. But others seem to naturally gravitate to the culture war side of things.

Haha...There has been so much projectile vomiting when those six neurons get to firing that I couldn't keep up with all his posts. I missed the "we are still hunter-gatherers" bit, which is an old trope of internet logic-bros who have read a bastardized version of human evolution by a non-expert, and then think we should all be consuming only wild boar and tubers.
YouTubers?

I'm still laughing at the daft comment that we are for all intents and purposes hunter gatherers.
I can't think of the last time I went out foraging or hunting Woolly Mammoths with the lads.
The advancements in medical science and computing technology alone has been completely transformative from my grandparents generation to now and as such we live very different lives.
@verreauxi is in your head
For "all intents and purposes" we are. its not very hard to understand.

Do you believe human evolution has peaked?
Is the sum of all human achievement the manufacturing of 60inch televisions?

Even a 3yr old can use an i-phone, we just have the engineering/technology to make them.

its not rocket science!

edit- @verreauxi ? thanks for reminding me.

One of the most successful grifts in recent times is that big oil has convinced a bunch of angry, bitter old men who attend "YouTube University" to do their dirty work for them and make unsupported claims across the internet about how anthropogenic climate change is fake (e.g., "Here's a video saying the hockey stick graph is debunked...I am very very clever").

When you are arguing on behalf of big oil CEOs that anthropogenic climate change is a myth you are the dumbest, saddest, sucker online.

Did you snort some of the pesticide when tending your plants?

Yeah makes me fume. The free thinkers parroting big oil.
