tough one that but we got legal advice which is always a good thing nowadays because you don`t want to end up in the slammer for drinking 2 cans of fizzy pops in one day.
anyway.....
the maximum of 5 people for Christmas what Boris Johnson said was obviously a problem - we got round that by getting a 75m dining table so everyone could stay 2m apart.
i wouldn`t wear 6 face-masks, i thought 2 were quite sufficient so you can imagine the scenario - anyway, my Auntie rang the police to ask them what we should do about it and the Cop said "you are policed and governed by consent" whatever that means!

I think when people are as far down the rabbit hole as oddball you need to leave them to find their bottom, much like an addict until they hit that bottom they can't be turned around.
In the meantime simply don't give him any energy, don't respond, don't engage. You can't debate climate science with someone too stupid to understand the carbon cycle or the implications of the keeling curve, and you can't educate someone so deluded he thinks he knows more than Carl sagan did, simply leave him be to find his own path.
You also can't educate through shame, you'll just get push back and they become more entrenched. You have to be patient and hope they can see that right wingers with no editorial process making millions from them has its own explanation.

I agree. I embrace global warming and am looking at living on top of a hill and getting a row boat rather than a car.
The money I will long term save on clothing material given I'll spend all my time in shorts and a vest due to the warmth will far outstrip the lowland devastation and loss of biodiversity the planet will suffer.
I see myself as Tom Hanks in that movie with a basketball friend. How we'll hoot with laughter at Greta and her green lunatic friends.
