He's looks okish in possession, and can whip a good cross in , that is where it ends as a player - it was him in the injury time who in a passing triangle gave a needless ball away for them to nearly score thanks to pickfords great save!
he balanced the team out , but Holgate or John Joe Kenny could have done it better !

John Joe looks a great player, but a lot of managers are after a more disciplined effort with their defenders and especially the younger less inexperienced ones and I expect Koeman is trying to be cautious. Galloway was the same way i thought he played great a couple of seasons ago filling in for Leighton Baines, but he got sent on loan to West Brom one of the most defensive sides in the league.

Still scares me trying to defend one v. one. Can definitely play a good ball, though. I'm not all that enamored with Jonjoe, but Holgate could do a better defensive job. If we are playing 3 in the back and expect width to come from the wing backs, though, definitely get Jonjoe in there.

Must have missed that. When has he looked great?
Galloway started impressively but began to get found out and was being targeted as a weak point by opponents towards the end.

We still talking about John Joe? I thought he looked lively and took the game on when he came on against Sevilla in the friendly a couple of weeks ago.

He is a lot better than I thought he would be, but I am still expecting a mistake when the ball goes anywhere close to him.

Absolutely a 5 out of 10 for saturday's game, but i still think he will prove to be a clever signing with a purpose. Also, i would be surprised if Kenny wasn't loaned out again this season, lad needs to play and he's surely not getting to when Seamus comes back

Reckon Kenny might go out on a six month loan during the winter window when (hopefully) Seamus is back.

It's pleasing to see so many of Cuco's heretofore detractors changing their opinion of him. He's still got some work ahead, to sway the more recalcitrant naysayers, but I prophesy he's going to be a Goodison favourite.

Think he's very slow in giving some of the youth there chances, but no doubt he'll stick with them if they force themselves into his plans. Look at Davies last year, was long overdue being given a chance and when he did he took it and credit to moonhead he stuck with him, think it could be he same with Kenny, when he gets a proper chance I think he really stake his claim

I saw a stat somewhere which proved that we gave more 'yoofs' a chance last season than any other Prem club. Wish I could find it, because I wasn't sure I believed it at the time. Something about 12 young players given a chance....
