Do you know, until this thread started, I can't say I noticed him. I checked his stats, and apparently he played for Soton against us at Goodison in April 2016, but my memory banks returned absolutely zilch on him

I must have seen him play on telly, but again, nothing comes to mind.

Apparently he joined Soton from FC Twente, but, without google, I'd have been clueless about that too. He's coming on a free to either play right-back till Coleman's back, or act as cover for whoever plays right back, and I'm absolutely fine with that.

The ability of footie fans to fume about minor things is truly wonderful !

I remember covering Koeman's presser after.

He was fuming that they hadn't won. Just honest. They'd properly thumped us and somehow we got a point.

He was seething, and after that they didn't drop a point I don't think.

Martinez was all smiles that we'd got a draw.
