I honestly don't get why people are upset on this. Coleman injured, Martina will get a one year or at most two year contract and then cover in case Holgate or Kenny aren't up to the job.

No brainer signing. It's either this, or spend big money on someone for the long term, and given we have Coleman for that why bother?

Kenny will still play mate. I'm feeling very confident of that.

But to ask the kid to play every game until Coleman returns seems a bit harsh and unrealistic to me.

on a free it makes sense. I think Kenny will be first choice RB at the start of the season but he's a kid and if he struggles to adjust to the demands of the prem or should Coleman take longer to recover or *touch wood* suffer complications we aren't caught short at the back.
