I don't think anyone here has actually kicked a ball. Playing opposite side is really difficult, and Cuco somehow managed to do it to a fairly decent level last season.
Parachute payments? No transfer fee. 30-40k a week is the going rate for a ‘premiership’ footballer. Although I think Martina has found his true level in the championship.I have seen no mention of how the wages are sorted out, wouldn't be surprised if we are still paying some of his wedge.
The echo will have this down as a special relationship between us and Stoke, like they seemed to think us and Watford had some special relationship because we beat them in an FA cup final

Hope so mate we are in dire need of some quality. He isnt as bad as some are making out mate.
Yes he didnt look great last season but then neither did anyone else. Not a great defender but not a bad one either. His best quality is on the ball and he puts a good cross in. He will be completely fine for you!

STOKE CITY have completed the season-long loan signing of defender Cuco Martina from Everton, subject to FA and EFL clearance.
A highly versatile performer, the former Southampton man primarily operates at right back but is equally adept at left back or in the centre of defence.
The 28-year-old has made more than 40 Premier League appearances and will find himself linking-up again with Everton teammate Ashley Williams who is also on loan at the bet365 Stadium for the season.
Manager Rowett said: “Cuco adds size, strength and power to our back line and he has shown in the Premier League that he can play in a variety of positions.
Chief Executive Tony Scholes added: “We are delighted to have secured the services of such an experienced player whose versatility will give an added dimension to our squad.”
He started his senior career with RBC Roosendaal and played top flight Dutch football for RKC Waalwijk and Twente before moving to England to join Southampton in 2015.
Although born and raised in the Netherlands, Martina represents Curaçao at international level. He has been capped 37 times and is their captain.
