Our central midfield needs work. Thiers can receive the ball under pressure, keep it and move forward. Ours can receive the ball under no pressure and play it right back to the defender that played it, or alternatively a different defender.

We are outnumbered there. When Eduaord drops in its 4v2. When Doucoure or one of the wings has dropped in we are fine. Otherwise they’re passing right through us. It’s a simple numbers game.

Eze is a problem. For both us and Palace mind. Could have been booked 3 times (2 for simulation) and that foul in the middle of the pitch. But when he gets central he is really dangerous. Have to find a way to protect Branthwaite and Tarkowski from him getting a free run at them. That is the difference right now. Take him out of the equation.
