Delph replacing Allan would make the middle two even worse. I am sure the FSW thinks Townsend is playing as the third (attacking) midfielder in a trio but he so not that player. Dont get me wrong I like Townsend but in a 4-2-3-1 he is not a CAM.
We would be better off with Delph in a holding role and Gomes + Doucoure in front of him. But the FSW is clearly a stubborn egotist - Is that a requirement for the job at Everton??
