Not sure if anything written on previous pages but to me that result is better than Wednesday. Backs to the wall from the beginning, players missing, not so much bare bones but not far away. Brilliant effort from every player on the field, outstanding from everyone including the fans. Yes, we have our Everton back
Nah. The fury from those wall pushing bells was absolutely lovely

Well said. And yep, best result in a long time that given the circumstances.

Not getting ahead of myself, I think it could of gone either way. What's different is we have belief, RS have built their whole success on it, plus with the help of corrupt refs in their case. The amount of games RS have been lucky to win over years is ridiculous. Dyche was a inspiring as a huge turd in jellied eel. Players, most notably Beto have got their confidence back, Alcaraz had quite a few shots I was think, you wouldn't get this under Dyche. Alcaraz took his chance well, also Lindstrom looked a lot more confident. Anyway onwards and upwards.

That's the thing, he's such an odd case. I can't recall it happening anywhere else ever in professional sport. He threw himself under the bus with "the players didn't do what I asked them to do" - to make that statement public. He knew it was time up, not so much lost the dressing room, more an acceptance from both sides that the end of the road had arrived.
Having made comments (me) about the atmosphere and attitude around the place specific to Baines and Coleman it now makes me think if he thought he was being possibly undermined? That's not an allegation. The turn around, the happy faces, the spirit to fight to the last kick, the joined up football, the form uptick amongst so many players, almost overnight. There is something.
There was plenty of ‘bodies on the line’ defending under Dyche and the players had not downed tools on him. The difference is the intent to win games. Aiming for 0-0 makes the players feel the manager doesn’t trust them to do more. Moyes has told them he expects to win every game and sets the team up that way.

I’ve never seen a more remarkable turnaround at everton, and struggling to think of a better one in english football in recent memory, maybe emery at villa

club is transformed, all these players that looked below par or we didnt even get to see play are looking like very good footballers with great characters

there’s a proper spirit in this side. I’m getting 08/09 vibes where no matter who was missing or injured, the team turned up every week and put in great performances with a mix of grit, discipline, skill and moments of brilliance

I’m in love with this team having 6 weeks ago only watching us purely because it was the last chances to go to Goodison

now I’m reading about us every day like a teenager, singing the terrace songs on my way to work, rewatching highlights and broadcasts on repeat. this is a special special time in the club’s recent history. and it’s down to Moyes
Great post. Resonates with my own experience. Thank you.

Sustained love of the club but renewed passion and energy.

Do you know what? I’m kind of pleased Davey is leading us into Bramley Moore. Bit sentimental clearly but he’s passionate, will have us playing on the front foot and have them dying for the cause.
Maybe it’s the single malt but it’s almost as though the stars have aligned. Can’t genuinely think of another manager I’d have going into our new stadium. Feels boss to be a blue tonight

And to think I was disappointed Potter chose West Ham over us. Looking at their results (1 win in 5 now) the outcome couldn't have gone better for us with Moyes.
I don’t think we were even in for Potter from reading some of the journalists close to the club, it seems like Moyes was only manager we spoke to.

And just like that we are the hottest team in the league. I just hope the management do not turn quickly on Moyes once a bad patch comes, and let him stay for a good few years at least. They didn't seem quite patient with their managers at Roma. Moyes is the best manager we got since Ancelotti. I really hope when time comes for him to leave we have a proper replacement who will get us forward. For now, I am happy he's back and will lead us to the new stadium and hopefully a new successful era for Everton. Cheers for the win!
