however i use it as a savings account towards me retirement and things are going to plan,
its outperformed all my other traditional investments easily!
But can crash almost instantly and you lose the lot...
Yeah, from everything I've seen in this, and the previous thread, this is the worst thing you could do with it. There's a good chance imo of it's value being nothing when you actually want to cash out.

trading bitcoin (especially day trading)is very risky and is only going to end up badly,

You can only say it's outperformed your other investments when you cash out.

Until then the arse can go from crypto at any time with no guarantee of any future growth because the entire thing is a speculation bubble that grows and pops continuously.

It's not exactly shook up the global currency market like it was supposed to. It still isn't a widely accepted currency with a value based on anything other than speculation that you will be able to sell it on to the next greater fool

It's being traded on as a commodity and that's what drives its value but unlike other commodities like food and precious metals a bit coin doesn't have any inherent and tangible value because it's fairly useless in practice.

May as well take a load of wedge to the races, take a chance on losing the lot and have a great day out in the process.

Just out of interest mate if you decided that you thought it had peaked and wanted to get out how quickly could you do that and how easy would that be?
