Should we still feel safe, because there are still people roaming the streets of the UK with deadly nerve agents at their disposal? Even when a person has police protection it appears they can still get a nerve agent into their systems. Instead of giving the advice, after a week that people should wash their possessions, maybe the whole of Salisbury should have been evacuated, and a thorough cleansing operation should have been carried out.

As stated earlier, plenty of nbcd experts just around the corner.

This 'government'...

Big announcement at 1630hrs.

'Let me be clear...' waffles on for a bit, then maybe refuses to go to the Wc personally.

He's got a point, besides she has form for covering this stuff up.

It was a terrible response. Completely lacking as a leader, willing to bend over for his socialist masters in Moscow, rather than stand up for the national interest.

It wasn't a time to politically point score - he badly read the mood there IMO.

Russian Fed isn't socialist though, you know that.

I'm not being partisan mate, like he warned, we shouldn't act rashly in anger, we'll have Benn speeches soon.

I detest IDS. I'm left leaning politically. I don't want to agree with the Tories by instinct. But I have to be honest and somewhat objective when looking at these things.

Try not to be partisan about this; what Corbyn said there was shameful.

Corbyn speaking out against sanctions on Russia and instead criticising Tories.

Shame on him.

I would hope that people who actually watched, heard or read his speech would recognize that people linked to the Russian government have given the Tories nearly a million quid in the past two years, and that he was explicitly calling for powers to deal with all the money laundering and the rest of the Magnitisky things that have been how the Russian government hides its filched wealth, how many in the City have grown absurdly rich and how they - entirely correctly - feel they can act with impunity on these islands (and against which the Tories have failed to implement anything even after all the things May cited in her speech)

What Corbyn was proposing were actual measures that would go a long way dealing with these Russians, and not mere talk or proposing some symbolic yet unknown but probably idiotic act as proposed by the SNP, by the cretin wing of the PLP and the Tories.
