We knew that SA batting line up was substandard but England, Pope excepted were no better. After playing with intelligence at OT, Stokes returned to full meathead mode in that innings. Lees has gone from a reasonably solid but limited opener to one playing idiotic shots - he looks confused and devoid of confidence and needs leaving out.
As for Zac, whenever they show a shot of the England balcony he always seems to be sat next to McCullum. Crawley by name, Crawler by nature?

I understand giving someone a whole series, but he surely cannot go to Pakistan, he scores slower than Chris Tavare.

Yes he has but not for a while. Usually bats at 3 for Notts, which of course means that he can be batting in the 1st over.
I'm a Duckett fan and I understand he's matured since the days when he poured a drink over Jimmy Anderson's head, so I wouldn't mind him given a go as opener - he's certainly more suited to 'Bazball' than traditional openers such as Lees, Sibley, Burns, Hameed, Compton or Jennings.
I agree with @Toffee Tim, though, that Vince is even more talented, and equally suited to that style as Duckett. Perhaps he should be given a chance to bat with that freedom as well.
Bairstow isn't going to be fit in time
