Cricket

I said it 3 weeks ago, I’ve never seen someone so obviously out of nick keep getting selected. Utterly baffling.
Almost as baffling as the management comment "We know he isn't going to be consistent "

Well , they were wrong about that too - he's been consistently bad.

Clearly the guy has talent as his double century v Pakistan testifies but he's had enough chances and can't / won't alter a technique that has been found out time and again.

Pakistan tour should really be something like:
  1. Duckett
  2. Jennings
  3. Pope
  4. Root
  5. Brook
  6. Stokes (C)
  7. Foakes (WK)
  8. Moeen
  9. Robinson
  10. Leach
  11. Anderson
I'm not convinced about Jennings and that's despite watching him make a tripe century at Southport.

Against the best pace attacks he is found wanting.

He actually plays spin very well so may be a good call for Pakistan but surely we should be building towards the Ashes.

Great start lads!

Jennings really the only opener with England credentials who has been in form this season

Take into account his ability to play spin and he seems a no brainer, but who knows if BazBall goes horses for courses

Played well this evening but no pressure on Zak.

Ah well I suppose he's bought himself another series

I was thinking that myself. Crawley was scoring well but sensibly but Lees was very fortunate a number of times, especially first ball
Exactly. For me, even when Lees connects with an attacking shot it doesn't look natural and is frequently mistimed. I know his confidence must be low but he's more of a steady accumulator of runs - that's what got him into the team. He just happened to be in the side when McCullum and Stokes took over - there's other players more suited to their style.
