Well played Lancashire. Villas innings was superb. Sussex looked like we were on track till we lost Orr and Pujara. Good luck in the final.
That's the beauty of 50 over cricket - twists and turns rather than the wham bam there's another six! of the Hundred.….terrific win, Matey, especially considering the poor start. Sussex started their innings so well but it just goes to show how a game can turn.
Superb knock from Vilas, well supported by Lavelle and Lamb. Somehow Lancs have always found someone to rescue them in this competition. Previous game with Kent was a thriller that we lost by two wickets with one ball to spare.Well played Lancashire. Villas innings was superb. Jason Roy not picked for the Pakistan tour or the T20 World Cup.

I remember Ian very well. He batted at 3 but Lancs tried to convert him into an opener which didn't do him any favours.…..my son just sent me a message to say Ian Cockbain senior has passed away suddenly aged just 64. Some local cricket fans might recall him.
Played a little for Lancs but more widely in Minor Counties. Was also a decent footballer. His son, Ian jnr, is a County Cricketer![]()

Used to watch him play for Bootle at Wadham Road, cracking player and Captain, his son was only about 6 or 7 then. R.I.P.…..my son just sent me a message to say Ian Cockbain senior has passed away suddenly aged just 64. Some local cricket fans might recall him.
