So different from Virat Kohli who is averaging 9.5 something you might expect from a Jimmy Anderson or another number eleven bat.

Kohli is really falling in my estimation, averaging 23 since his last century in 2019, for me nowhere near the top bracket of batsmen anymore. Root on the other hand is in the form of his life and batting as well as anyone in the world atm.

Whatever one may think of Kohli personally, he's a class player in a bad run of form IMO.

Day 2, have them in the field for as long as possible. Might affect them for the rest of the series, as well.

Nick Speak was a very decent middle-order player for Lancs and, I think, Durham where he was captain.
