Yeah Hameed was primarily responsible for England going nowhere fast in the morning session. He got stuck in Dom Sibley mode and it was hard to see where his next run was coming from.

26 dot balls in succession before Jadeja put us all out of our misery by bowling him out..

So different from Virat Kohli who is averaging 9.5 something you might expect from a Jimmy Anderson or another number eleven bat.

Kohli is really falling in my estimation, averaging 23 since his last century in 2019, for me nowhere near the top bracket of batsmen anymore. Root on the other hand is in the form of his life and batting as well as anyone in the world atm.

Just looked at a win predictor and there are still those predicting India to win this test. I'm just thinking on what basis to they make such a stupid prediction? Blind loyalty? As any semblance of common sense obviously left them a long time ago.

Indeed so, he’s playing like he was before he became captain, which is probably where there are still question marks over, especially after the Lord’s debacle, but he seems to be very comfortable now, with being both our best batsman and captain, even if his captaining is a bit suspect.
