Can’t stand Bairstow.
That's it I think. Only remaining batter who has a chance of staying with Root is Moeen Ali.
He did that in the last test too in the final ball of a session. Really really sloppy and poor cricket. If he's there after tea, you think the draw should be comfortable, now it's India clear favourites with Buttler having to try and block.
If they do salvage a draw, it will be through assistance from bad light or rain. They won't bat 38 more overs.

228 balls left. Root needs to face 80-100 of them. Buttler, Ali and Curran need to face 120 between them. That would leave the last 3 having to face a maximum of 30 balls. Hopefully Root can bat right through though and someone stays with him. No silly shots but need to rotate the strike where possible as someone stuck at an end becomes a sitting duck.
