Only chance they have is by leaving like 90 off the last 10 overs with Buttler in to have a swing. And that would involve having to get to about 150 with no more than 3 or 4 down.

Surely the only time he should be batting for a while is back in County cricket!

Either way, the way he captained after Pant went is indefensible. Our top order was always going to melt when having to bat it out rather than calmly picking runs off, with a target less than 200.

I like Burns as a player, I think he has runs in him. Sibley is just dull as dishwater at the crease.

The top 3 are red ball specialists and have the poorest techniques. The best players should be picked, and the best players can normally play across formats.
