Really don't understand bowling Root for 8 overs either. Rashid should've come on earlier in the innings for me.

Yes I know that there were two bad mistakes but then Wood came up with a wordie that should have won the game. Agreed that it was a poor decision to bowl Rashid. I would have bowled Wood.

Not a good day for Yorkshire : four players tested positive for Covid, a second player accused them of racism, and they lost tonight. Roses match tomorrow, Lancashire win and they'll be through to the quarter finals.
T20 is far from my favourite format, I'm really looking forward to putting my feet up and watching the Roses clash tonight.
Given the brilliant weather, I'd give my right arm to be there. I would certainly have been at Old Trafford this evening in other circumstances and lets hope we give the Yorkies another tonking. Be interesting to see if Root, Bairstow and Rashid are available for them and Buttler for us.
As for the game last night, it was madness to throw the ball to Rashid to defend 10 runs to win the series when he'd been comfortably our most expensive bowler and they had two lower order batters fresh at the crease. It was another poor over and he certainly travelled. Curran or preferably Wood should've been given the responsibility. Can't criticise Morgan too much as he's way in credit given the job he's done over the last 5 years.

He'd be the last man I'd blame. We won the world cup by winning series after series and gaining confidence. We showed our intent by the teams we've picked since winning the world cup in white ball cricket. What are we resting players for? The IPL? No wonder we lose against the first top team we play against.
