The rain, it raineth every day
Third day at Old Trafford and looks like it's heading for a draw. Somerset 429, Lancashire 330-5, Jennings 109, Vilas 149 n.o.
Chance of a surprising win for Lancashire : Somerset 157-6, 94 ahead. Must be spinning as leg spinner Matt Parkinson has taken 4 wickets.

Don't want to be chasing too many. Been a lot of low scores so far this season. To flip that though, Yorkshire were bowled out for 50, and won...I notice Trescothick is hurt and not due to bat so probably 3 wickets needed.

Somerset 199-7, lead by 136.
Sadly, a big, fat duck. Lancashire closed on 157-4, 24 runs ahead. Jennings coming into form, 52 n.o...great start for Lancashire bowling Notts out for 133 at Trent Bridge. Lancs 87-1 in reply, Hameed coming in at no3, he’s going through a difficult period.
Hameed looks like he's unsure of himself at the moment. Hung around hoping to get off the mark easily rather than forcing the issue like Livingstone (cut for 4 of the back foot) or Davies did. He's a quality player but struggling at the moment...great start for Lancashire bowling Notts out for 133 at Trent Bridge. Class player. Needs to be given licence to expose by England. No pressure and let him do a Gilchrist/Kluesner role and bludgeon from lower order. Hard to do it when top/middle order have collapsed likeButtler's just done one of the best innings in IPL history, if not 20 over cricket. Magnificent from beginning to end.
