Cricket

He's a decent player Lehmann, to be fair. For whatever reason it didn't work out with him at Lancs, but he can definitely bat. I believe he's less obnoxious than his dad too, although that wouldn't be hard.

I saw him bat several times for Lancs and he didn't impress. To be fair, he may have been out of form, lacking confidence, but his record suggests he's a distinctly ordinary player who, as you say, seems to be less obnoxious than his dad, but with only a smidgeon of his talent.

England lost their first match in the women's world cup.
Another century for Dan Lawrence in the latest Lion's match, Sibley also.
An interesting overview so far of the tour.

Mahmood and Gleeson both out of the tour.

Aussie A 103-5 in reply to England's 428 (Sibley 116, Lawrence 125, Bracey 65). England making the most of bowling under floodlights with the pink ball. This is by far the strongest team England have faced on this tour with the likes of Khawaja, Harris, Maddinson, Henriques, Bird, and Swapson playing against them. Good to see Bracey doing well and Brydon Carse picking up a wicket.

Jennings captaining the side in Gregory's absence and Sam Cook, the Essex medium pacer not the one who sang about a chain gang, has been called up to replace the unlucky Richard Gleeson. Mahmood didn't go to Australia having felt a sore knee in SA.

New Zealand hammered the number one ranked test nation India by 10 wickets in a bit of a mismatch at the Basin Reserve.

You might think the number one nation merited a proper test series in which they had the opportunity to grow into it and overcome a bad start, but unfortunately its just two consecutive one-off tests again - a so called mini series.

As England proved in South Africa its possible to come back and win after losing the first test.

India won't have that chance.

For me these two test series are a serious blight on the game, not allowing the twists and turns often seen in proper four or five test series and, in these days of poor preparation and too much cricket, disproportionately benefit the home side.

NZ lost in their test series with Australia 3-0 but at least they got three tests and not two.

In a two test series England wouldn't have beaten South Africa, they are just test series in name only.

The better side will almost always come out on top over four or five tests, while the chances of this not being the case increase the shorter the series.

Tbf they won't have that chance.

But....(not to say their form away from the subcontinent would make them struggle any less anyway - the test number one position is worthless for me)

India always find it tough to compete away to England or New Zealand (plus Australia if not weakened by having their two marquee players out Steve Smith and David Warner - I wish we had them so weakened) - even South Africa beat them last time in South Africa too.

Coping with the moving ball has never been their best forte and they have serious work to do if their form away from the subcontinent is to improve.

Wood injured again, good opportunity for Mahmood.

Or very bad news indeed.....

Sri Lanka is a graveyard for seamers, 90mph Wood gives something different against batsmen set for spin but now he's not being taken it'll be a thankless task for Saqib and one he may wish wasn't going to be his first chance at test cricket.

Jimmy took about two wickets in six innings in the last three test series, was hardly bowled at all and felt as if he was a spectator - often unused as a batsman or number eleven and used as a bowler for one or two overs first up.
