Cricket

Smith went out of his way to get rabada banned, milked the bairstow incident for all it is worth, and used Warner as his rabid dog, he's either culpable or a very weak leader
I don't think Smith commented on the Rabada thing, in fact he made the point that he wasn't asked about it after the ban was lifted. I didn't
follow the Bairstow incident closely and can't comment as I didn't get the detail. And Warner is a rabid dog and doesn't need any encouragement
from Smith or anyone else.

I believe Smith questioned why he wasn't called as a witness for rabada getting his ban overturned, obviously that slight touch of his sleeve really scared him, as for Warner, I'll repeat he's either culpable or weak, the responsibilities of being in charge aren't in all rewards, especially in cricket according to the rule book in fact

I’ll be honest I’m a massive cricket fan and I think smith is one of the best batman it’s been my privilege to watch . I’ve got friends in Australia and i enjoy the spectacle of the ashes but I can’t pretend I’m not enjoying the
schadenfreude Of it all .

All the Australian stuff about taking it to the line , complaining about South Africa over celebrating , complaining about sledging and vile abuse to warner ! A Complaint about fan conduct , the mocking of Barstow and basically just their hypocrisy this has been coming and I think a lot of fans are enjoying it as much as they are hating it .

I think one of the best things to come out of it is having good fellas like Jim Maxwell and gilchrist being so appalled with their own side, even before the sand paper. They've been hammered from inside which hopefully shows them how friendless they are and that no one wants to see cricket played in that manner. It was Smith who held cricket Australia to random recently, and as Freddie once said, this game has a funny way of coming back to bite you

We obviously don't agree about the Rabada incident because I think he meant to bump into him, and Smith said nothing until after the ban was lifted. We agree on that, I think.

He probably did, but Smith has presided over a team with a poor attitude, you could argue the team is in lehmanns image rather than Smith, but he is the captain, he has to take a bit here, and frankly his attitude in pressers is an arrogant smirking one, even when he addmitted to the crime, though we now know he lied about the material used, he was arrogant as hell, telling the press we move on, barking at journos that'they can ask all the questions they want ' , after holding his own nation to ransom, he finds himself without allies and that's his own doing

Yes, he didn't do well at that presser, and he's certainly paying very heavily for the part he's played in this business. Some are concerned
for him and his state of mind and the same thoughts have crossed my mind. I hope he'll be OK. After all, it's only a game.

I said on here before the Ashes I disliked Smith and the odious Warner (plus Lyon) so I'm delighted to see what's happened to those two.

Lost their deals in the IPL too.

Bancroft is due in England shortly to play a season of county cricket with Somerset. I wonder if now they'll see him as soiled goods and cancel his contract?

Lehmann has been one lucky bloke to have kept his gig but the behaviour of his side has sunk further and further down since he's been coach. The utter hypocrisy of the man to go cryarsing about the stick his side has received from SA fans when England get this sort of thing in every Ashes series Down Under from their supporters and media and it doesn't matter if you're a player or fan, if you're a Pom then you're fair game.

Before the start of the 2013/14 Ashes this clown publicly encouraged the Aussie fans to abuse Stuart Broad, now his side are receiving something similar he's up in arms. Typical Aussie bully. Squealing like a stuck pig when the boot is on the other foot.

If Lehmann and the coaching staff didn’t know are we suggesting they sent out the twelfth man to ask what was going on rather than to tip Bancroft off ? A leadership group that doesn’t involve the coach as well apparently, consider me sceptical.

This is apparently the story CA have bought from the coach , who knew my sarcasm would hit the truth spot on .

Stuart Broad deserves everything he gets the utter knob

honestly cant see smith or warner playing for Australia again.

the outcry from the Australian public and former players will not allow it.

everytime Smith and Warner play now,, it will be all about them and cheating and not about the game at hand

As a coach if you’re going to say this about an opposition player :

"From my point of view I just hope the Australian public give it to him right from the word go for the whole summer and I hope he cries and he goes home.”

Then frankly it’s rank hypocrisy to be part of this :

Cricket Australia sent a letter of complaint to their South African counterparts on Friday over what coach Darren Lehmann called "disgraceful" verbal abuse aimed at his players by the crowd in the third test at Newlands.

Worse than hypocrisy it’s actually pathetic.
