The tail is huge, hadn't occured to me Carse isn't playing. Overton and Rashid can just about manage to hold up an end, but Archer and Wood, not great, and Livinstone is injured, isn't he?

As a batting team we are completely inept and thoughtless. The number of times over so many years I cannot remember that about half the team have just given their wickets away playing stupid shots. Hope we lose this and the whole management team get fired.

generally think in both camps, batting and bowling, we're just really poor at the minute. Archer and Wood not done a huge amount with the ball and we seem to consistently concede 300 plus an innings

Embarrassing defeat.

Only needed 1 person to bat sensibly and help Root and no one could do it. And the bowling through the middle overs is consistently well below par.

Buttlers position is definitely under question now. The team have gone backwards at some rate in recent years.

I know it shouldn't have been left to the bowlers to win it, but that was terrible at the end. Proper club cricket game management.

Needed 17 at just over a run a ball with 3 wickets left, and still came 8 short !!

They could have quite easily lost that game they won in India too, the batters didn’t put up a great score in that game. Heads need to roll simply for what has happened in the last few weeks. I think Brendon McCullum should resign. You have players not training in the nets in India, Duckett comes out publicly and says all focus on the Champions Trophy. They blow 350 runs against a poor Australia side and lose to Afghanistan… absolutely shocking
