Just imagine how he feels now - delighted to be out of hospital and on the mend. But then what will he feel like when he turns the tv on at home to see millions of spanners - told to go out and do their patriotic duty to get legless and pack together in pubs and restaurants - inevitably starting the infection spike that'll put us back to square one and the NHS all but overwhelmed again.

Imagine nearly sacrificing your life for THAT.

I had my first Currywurst since pre-corona times yesterday and it was glorious

I'd booked a hotel stay for my wife's Christmas present last year it was due to be over Easter so I had to change the dates and changed it to August, going next week. The hotel rang me today and said that they have new rates for the rooms since reopening and they will give me the new rate and they have credited me with 105 euros, that's food and beer sorted for the few nights.

That’s pretty good of them to be fair. Friend of mine has been unable to contact their hotel in Spain to cancel and discuss refunds as ‘phones are being upgraded’ doubt that’s unusual either.
