Because by blaming the Chinese, whether they deserve it or not, you are indirectly blaming Chinese people at large and that has led to a rise in racial incidents directed at Asian people.

Sometimes things happen. It doesn't need to come to blaming someone when it leads to trouble for a lot of folks who aren't involved. And calling it the China Virus is blaming people full stop.

Yeah I agree, it is not on to try and lay the blame for this whole pandemic at the feet of a sole entity as simple as 'China'.

I am now also interested in how this government is intending to implement the promises it made the other day to cover the 80% of current PAYE employee wages. It sounded good enough when the promise was made, has anyone heard anything from anyone who are now in receipt of this government money via their employer? I am starting to see it may not be as smooth as Johnson and Sunak made us believe.

It should have been called Wuhan Flu, for that is where it originated, and tough crap if they don’t like it. Chinese authorities are furiously trying to get the message out that it‘s Italy that’s to blame. The Chinese government are to blame for this and should be told at every opportunity.....

Call it coronavirus or Covid 19. It isn't hard and no innocent Asian people are likely to get racially abused that way.

I'm not pretending anything. I just don't think it matters. Why blame China to the detriment of Asian-Americans when we could just not do that? It isn't changing anything with the disease but it is causing an uptick in hate crimes. Why is that necessary at all?

No one has ever done that nor should they. Normally it gets the nickname based on the animal or sympton before it gets a scientific name. But calling it after a people or place it shouldn't be.

The WHO doing nothing in your eyes does not legitimize how wrong you are.
