I have a work meeting next Tuesday and as my office is temporarily closed i offered to meet somewhere for a coffee and the other person wants to meet in the Grand Central.

I dread to think how much a nice coffee will cost in there. I was more thinking Starbucks.
The way the cost of buyong coffee from a coffee shop is going its probs better to buy a nespresso machine and take that everywhere with you.

I have a machine in the house so do make my own and bring it in when I'm in the office. But i can't walk into a venue for a coffee with my own, would look proper tight doing that.

@IrishBlue2022 Where I am located in NI's newest City, the price of Diesel is 12p a litre more than in Belfast. Its nearly cheaper for me to fill up in Belfast and drive home again rather than fill up at home. WTF is going on there. Just profiteering.
I'm assuming your in Bangor mate?

If so your right. I just had a look on the Consumer Council fuel price comparison tracker and it shows average price of diesel in Bangor is higher (151.1) than Belfast (145.5). Thats obviously a limited sample but still shows a picture of which areas are worse off fuel wise.

It seems profiteering is worse in areas without much competition.

People afraid of being sick. What a country.

Esa long-term sickness for the really ill claiment used to be till pension age - he tories have cut it to 12 months only then it drop to a lower rate - I don't know who can vote for them - yet Kier Starmer just does not have have the soundbites to get a majority needed- I will vote for the fusty time in ages for Labour next GE after not voting for ten years - if Andy Burnham was the Labour leader Labour would have got in a while ago - our country is in such a mess,& remember when prices rise it takes an age for them to come down - Also we do not wanta LibDem coalition with Labour as Sir Ed Davy was in the austerity Conservative government - short memories spri gs to mind.
