Them and to an extent Utd, have a cultish (sp) following who feel they have a devine right to success and are genuinely baffled when things don’t go their way.

We on the other hand are no longer suprised (if not expect) by results like tonight and I wonder if our collective pessimism is manifesting our failures and appointments like David Moyes?

Keep taking the tablets. We crave the possibility of success ; is it out fault we have been ineptly run for so long ? Seems like you're blaming the fans! The huge amount of patience we have given to overpaid useless crapness, as well as giving clueless managers a very large benefit of the doubt (excepting the Fat Waiter) and yet still we watch the mundane and support the club, despite the years of nothingness. If we get a bit irked, is it any wonder why ?
