It has long been something that annoys me greatly watching this endlessly occurring on countless threads.

If it was out of a personal quest to help others I might be more amenable but it is almost without exception used to break rhythm in discussion and to demean someone's argument by passively aggressively belittling then.

If you were at a dinner party and someone continously kept correcting everyones conversational grammar then you would quite rightly think them to be a loathsome social cripple who should be cast into the gutter without pudding.

Anyone who is engaged in this practice should be treated with extreme suspicion and has undoubtedly, if male, never put their willy in a woman.

I did consider it, briefly.

But then I realised to do so would mean to be cowed by conformity rather than projecting my own idiom.

Language is forever fluid and impossible to halt or manacle. If it can be understood should be the only real barometer for the informal written word.
