Dunno. Hence the question. Like we have been together for 20 years, just never been arsed about a certificate, and we, well I, said it would be sensible when she is back home to make it a bit easier if sommet happened. (It spooked me when she was poorly).

So we dont want any faffing about, literally, just a certificate.

Not exactly the priority for UK Plc atm, granted.
I asked my wife/girlfriend 3 times to marry me and she said she never saw the point. We'd been together 7/8/10 years. Then my mother passed away and she realized, like you said, it would make things easier to be married then just "together". It's weird how a piece of paper changes things so much when literally nothing has changed in either of our lives except I have a ring on my finger.

It's interesting that the people who are getting relatively rave reviews in the States are people who aren't being optimistic or "we'll be open by Easter Sunday" crap placating. Cuomo from NY and Bevin from Kentucky are getting praised for being as blunt as possible. It's amazing that certain people and states haven't gotten that telling people this isn't a big deal is working on some people.

Yep. Same. Have a will and that, its more the utter ball ache of it all. Like, God forbid, if I was hit by a bus, Mrs R, in her current state would be utterly hopeless, if not helpless.

Cant be arsed with a ring though. Bought her an ace one ages ago, kinda an engagement one I guess.

Way off beam, but if we are locked down, even ish, for 3 or even 6 months, can you get married?

I dont mean that we have a large one planned or anything, cos we havnt, but from a purely practical point of view, it kinda makes sense. Y'know.
They've been cancelling weddings this month, would imagine same for next

We had a wedding meeting last week.

They didnt say anything about cancelling, but its in September. The missus mate was getting married next month and hers was cancelled yesterday.

Its weird the concerns or issues that spring up when normal life goes to pot isnt it?

Like not that long ago, it was all about football, RS, just regular stuff.

Now its 30 foot queues outside a chemist but with 4 people waiting and weddings!

In six months' time, the Blitz spirit takes hold.

Yeah theirs was supposed to be end of this month just gone. became obvious about two weeks ago I think that they had to cancel, but then it would have been forced on them anyway. Proper miserable stuff.

Know at least one person as well who couldn't go to a family funeral.
